The Department of Mathematics was established in 2008 at Government Degree College, Cheepurupalli. Since its inception, the department has grown steadily with several strengths:

• Employment and Service Sector Success: Several alumni have been selected for prestigious roles in the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Postal Department, Police Department, and good positions in the Private sector.

• Alumni as Faculty: Former students P. Chittodu and K. Ramesh, who completed their PG in Mathematics, have returned as faculty members in the department, inspiring and guiding the current generation of learners.
